Women’s Peace Park, Kensington, Melbourne
Helen and I took a morning stroll a couple of days ago and it brought back memories of the walks we used to take when Helen was pregnant with Joe. Walking down the bluestone paths with murals of cattle created in colourful tile and the numerous now historic peppercorn trees with their distinctive red berries that can be found throughout Kensington holds a special place for both of us. To repeat this walk the other day almost two decades later was great and Helen was pleased that we not only saw the murals that are under Epsom Road (there is an underpass that the cattle used to traverse under Epsom road), but on our return we stopped by the simple but tranquil Peace Park.
