Another huge week at Melbourne High for Joe
After our great day with robots at Telstra Joe restarted Melbourne High in Term 2.
He immediately had two days of athletics and although due to his rowing commitments he hadn’t been able to try out for athletics selection he managed to get into the team.
Back in my day I was pretty good at high jump and long jump. Joe returns home after the first day of athletics with two first place ribbons, a second place and a third place.
The two first place ribbons were for high jump and long jump… cue proud dad!
The second and third place ribbons were for 100 and 400 metre relay events and the next day he returned with a third place for the 1500 metres.
Today he returned home with a shiny form captain’s badge on his blazer, presented to him by Lindsay Fox, Melbourne High School Old Boy and successful businessman. That was after departing for school just after 6am for rowing conditioning training.
