Another Fine Day in Melbourne
When you have adequate parking in locations, things are good, when parking is expensive or not available, the pleasure of going to some places is soured from the outset. Two days after our lovely lunch and catch up with Jasmine and a day after the Santa adventure we ventured out again for another meal.
Springvale on a Sunday is a common destination. After our parking fine last Sunday we were shocked to pull away from the curb in Springvale from a location where we knew we had 2 hour free parking to see a ticket again taped under our wiper.
Helen jumped out of the car at the first red traffic light and we started reading to identify why and how much damage. Much to our relief we saw that it was just a warning. Maybe with our NT number plates the parking inspector had either taken pity on us or considered chasing a parking fine for people from the antipodes not worth the effort. In either case, we were relieved to only get a fright and not a fine.
So it did turn out to be a fine day in Melbourne!
