Essington Middle School Debating Team Shines!
Our young middle years debating team consisting of Rose, Joe and Kaylee were presented with an enormous finals challenge – presenting their debate in no less than the main chamber of Parliament House.
We as parents were so proud of them, standing over the despatch boxes presenting their arguments like young politicians. Their demeanour, confidence belied their young ages.
Here is an album of some photographs taken in the chamber of the teams. The final decision by the adjudicators didn’t go Essington’s way, but the level of presentation by both teams was on par with the setting. Well done future leaders and presenters!
