Angkor Wat at dawn
We travelled in the tuk-tuk to Angkor Wat for the dawn along with about 500 other people wanting to capture this serene, intimate tranquility of a Cambodian sunrise. There were more gopros and selfie sticks than a camera convention. That said, we like the others there made it our event.
We have video and photographs shot on the gopro hero 2 and gopro hero 4 along with the trusty Kodak (still going well after all these years) along with the Nikon D90 and iphone camera. But it is the old ipod nano that captures in 640*480 making it easier to upload without processing.
So despite this not being the best capture of the event which we compared with the similar event at Borobudur, it is one we can share.
Which was better?
I will cover that in a later post, but suffice to say that dedicating one of Joe’s birthday trips to a journey to icons of worship, past and present was a great idea, just like the theme park journey to Disneyland Honk Kong, Ocean Park and Chimelong seven years ago when Joe turned 6
